Chorley’s Santa Express is back to whisk families on a magical journey from Chorley town centre through Astley Park to meet Father Christmas at Astley Hall. Book your tickets here.
Chorley's Santa Express will be running between Chorley Council's offices on Union Street in Chorley town centre and Astley Hall every 20 minutes between 9.30am and 4pm every Saturday and Sunday in December from Saturday 2 December until Christmas Eve, Sunday 24 December. The Santa Express will take families to meet Father Christmas as he takes up residence in Astley Hall’s Inlaid Room in the run up to Christmas.
Every child who meets Father Christmas will receive a special Christmas gift and there will be some festive face painting and arts and crafts at Astley too.
Tickets to take a ride on Chorley’s Santa Express to meet Father Christmas at Astley Hall must be purchased in advance by clicking on the date of your choice below. The tickets are £7 - £8 for children (aged 12 and under) and £3 for adults and various time slots are available on all six dates. All tickets are subject to an Eventbrite booking fee and the price includes a return journey on the land train and the chance to meet Father Christmas at Astley Hall. Please bring a paper or electronic copy of your confirmation email with you as proof of purchase. Unfortunately, tickets cannot be purchased on the day.
Anyone aged 12 months and under is entitled to book a free ticket to meet Father Christmas and ride on the land train with their family, however, they will not receive a gift as the Christmas presents are only suitable for children aged 1 to 12.
If you don’t wish to meet Father Christmas at Astley Hall but would like to simply take a ride on Chorley’s Santa Express between Chorley town centre and Astley Hall every 20 minutes on the dates listed, you can pay on the day at the land train stop outside Chorley Council's offices on Union Street or at the land train stop outside the Coach House next to Astley Hall at £3 for children and £3 for adults.
The land train is fully accessible for wheelchair users but if you have a pram, please could you ensure you fold it up before boarding the train.
