Introductory workshop - Representation of the People Act

Join us for a free introductory workshop about Parliament and the history of women’s suffrage.

The workshop will focus on discussion around:

•             How do national decisions affect you?
•             What’s the difference between UK Parliament and Government?
•             From Suffragettes and Beyond - Discover the History of Women and the Vote
•             How can you and other women influence parliament and get your voice heard?

We will also be showing three short films ‘Your Story Our History,’ focusing on laws that have contributed to women’s rights and continued to empower them.

This is being delivered by the Parliamentary Outreach Service and has been jointly organised by Chorley Council and the MP Lindsay Hoyle.

The workshop will take place on Monday 5 March at 6pm-8pm, Chorley Town Hall, Committee Room 1. Please reserve your place through the Eventbrite page here.
