Road safety
Chorley Borough Council takes the safety of residents and visitors extremely seriously and works with partners across the borough to promote and improve road safety.
One of the main partners in the county is the Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety - a multi-agency partnership committed to reducing the number of deaths and injuries on Lancashire's roads.
Road collisions bring death and misery to individuals and their families. They also place a heavy financial demand on our communities in Lancashire, which amounts to a staggering £370million per year.
The partnership has developed a strategy to deliver the Government's 2010 road casualty reduction targets.
