- Abandoned vehicles - reporting and procedures
The local council will deal with any vehicles reported as abandoned on local roads or property (usually including private property). The vehicle will be removed if it is causing a public nuisance, is untaxed or if has not been removed by the owner a specified length of time after a notice of removal has been placed on the vehicle.

The local authority will arrange removal of dead animals from all publicly accessible areas.

Animals - dog fouling
Allowing a dog to foul any public area is an offence. We provide bins for dog waste and issue fixed penalty notices for offenders.

The dog warden service promotes and monitors responsible dog ownership, enforces dog fouling and dog nuisance legislation and deals with stray dogs.

The local authority has a legal duty to collect and detain stray animals if they remain unclaimed.

We respond to reports and undertakes proactive patrols to reduce health risks to people and animals and regulate places where pets are kept or bred.

Archives are original documents produced by official bodies, societies and individuals that are no longer in current use. The council may provide a way for local residents and business to view their archives, often in a local library.
