Eccleston Church

Eccleston is divided into two parts.  One contains the parish church of St Mary, a sandstone church on the banks of the River Yarrow, which was in existence as early as 1094 while in the more modern area, which is approached by The Green, are St Agnes RC Church, which was erected in 1922, the Methodist Church built in 1900, the Carrington Centre (formerly a mill belonging to Carrington Fabrics) and Bygone Times, a large antiques centre.

Open farmland surrounds the village, which has a new cricket field on the outskirts and a number of pubs and restaurants in the centre.
