Brindle Old Rectory

Welcome to Brindle set in the north of the borough near the boundary with Blackburn. This was first recorded in 1206 as 'Burnhull' probably meaning a hill by a stream derived from the Old English words 'burna' and 'hyll'.

Brindle is located between the hills, yet easily accessible from the A6, which passes through Clayton Green.

Brindle is an old parish that has many links links dating back to the 15th century including the Rectory, Brindle Lodge, The Town House and the Cavendish Arms Inn with leaded windows which depict the villages past history.
