Postal Packs Will Arrive Separately
EXCITEMENT is beginning to mount ahead of the local and General Elections in Chorley with people registered for a postal vote starting to receive their packs.
But people are reminded they will receive their voting packs for the local and General Election separately.
Donna Hall, Chorley Council's Chief Executive and Returning Officer for the elections, said: "We have to send out the postal voting packs separately due to the election timetables set out in legislation.
"People registered for a postal vote will have already received their local election voting packs but they won't receive their General Election pack until Saturday or early next week.
"If you've got one and not the other don't worry it will arrive a few days later."
People already registered to vote can still apply for a proxy vote up until 5pm on Tuesday, April 27, if they are away on holiday for election day.
