Allotments
Allotments are extremely popular in Chorley and we simply do not have enough of them. The Council is actively seeking land to create more and details of this will be posted here in the future.
If you are interested in allotments, the following sites are operated by Chorley Borough Council for a nominal annual rent.
Windsor Park- Approx 0.75ha
The 22 allotment plots are situated at the side of Chorley Cemetery on Southport Road, and access to this site is down Sandringham Road, Chorley.
Moor Road- Approx 0.31ha
The 13 allotment plots are situated at the rear of houses on Moor Road, Chorley.
Worthy Street- Approx 0.05ha
6 allotment plots were provided as part of an environmental improvement programme in the neighbourhood.
Crosse Hall Lane- Approx 0.5ha
This is a site with 42 plots. Access is off Crosse Hall Lane, Chorley.This site runs its own allotment society.For further information contact the Allotment Officer : Mrs C Hand on 01257 267434.
Bay Horse, Whittle-le-Woods- 0.2ha
4 plots off Church Hill, Whittle-le-Woods.
You can apply for an allotment online here. Please remember that there is currently a long waiting list for allotments and there could be a long wait before one becomes available.
