Chorley Borough Local Plan Review - Adopted Edition 2003

Every effort has been made to ensure that the electronic version of the Local Plan accessible through this link is as similar to the definitive paper version as possible. However the appearance of the Proposals Map is slightly different due to limitations of electronic displays. If users are in any doubt about the content of the attached please verify the information by referring to the published paper edition. Please click here to view if you agree to this condition.

The way the plan is displayed on your computer depends on the screen size setting of the monitor. The most common settings are 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 - select from the next page which version best fits your screen.

The council is keen to continue to improve the appearance and operation of this electronic version of the Local Plan. If you have any suggested improvements please email these to planning.policy@chorley.gov.uk

In accordance with the requirements of Section 35(c) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Lancashire County Council has considered the Adopted Chorley Borough Local Plan, August 2003, in relation to the policies of the Adopted Joint Lancashire Structure Plan 2001-2016. It is considered that certain policies of the Adopted Chorley Borough Local Plan are not in general conformity with the Replacement Joint Lancashire Structure Plan 2001-2016. Please click here to view the Statement of Non-Conformity.

A Direction has been issued under paragraph 1 (3) of Schedule 8 to the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 in respect of policies in the Adopted Chorley Borough Local Plan that are saved for on-going use after 27 September 2007. To view which policies have not been saved click here. The saving of policies does not override Structure Plan non-conformity.
