Friday 8 March 2024 International Women's Day Celebration with Unique LadiesChorley Town HallUnique Ladies is a networking organisation for women in business owned by local lady Suzy Orr. This year we are delighted to bring our now anticipated annual event to Chorley between 9:30am - 4pm to celebrate all women in business and raise money for Boot Out Breast Cancer. (Suzy was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023 and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.) Granada Reports have been following Suzy's story and will be filming the event. Huge thank you to Chorley Council for sponsoring the venue and Boost Business Growth for sponsoring the event. Saturday 9 March 2024Abseiling BishopSt Laurence's church

Bishop Philip of Blackburn Cathedral will be joining a team of other volunteers, including Graham Liver from Radio Lancashire, to abseil down St Laurence's church tower on 9th March.

Refreshments will be available, and all are welcome to come along on the day to support the team.

Friday 29 March 2024 (Good Friday)Alice & the Mad Hatters Easter PartyEscape Entertainment VenueJoin us on Good Friday from 9.30am to 11.30am. we will keep your little bunnies entertained for 2 hours of fun, singing, dancing with Alice and the Mad Hatter. Easter themed Games & face painting and every child gets an Easter egg to take home. Tickets are £12 per child and £3 per adult. call in to reception or call 01257 542455.
Satuday 30 March Meet & Greet with Peter Rabbit and the Easter FairyHeskin Hall Shopping VillageEnjoy an Easter Hunt all around our Shopping Village using our clues to collect your eggs, then follow the footprints to meet our special guests, Peter Rabbit and the Easter Fairy. Each child will receive a gift from our special guests and grown-ups can take their own photographs too! Please note that this event is taking place at the SHOPPING VILLAGE. There may be a little queue to meet Peter Rabbit when you have finished your hunt, this will be outdoors. Part of the hunt will be upstairs and unfortunately we don't have a lift, but you are able to leave prams in the porch area. This event will be approximately 20-30 minutes long. Sunday 28 March - Sunday 28 April 2024Light Classics ConcertSt Laurence's Church, Union St, ChorleyEach month, on the last Sunday [apart from August], St Laurence's Church hosts a short musical concert with a variety of musicians offering their talents. This month, we have Alison Davis (Mezzo Soprano) and Bethany Fahrer (Soprano) performing a programme of music for us. Doors open at 2.15 for light refreshments, followed by the music at 3.00. Our gift shop is open before and after the concert, and you can browse our monthly art exhibition, too. Entrance is free, but donations of £5 towards the church funds are appreciated. This is a friendly, safe space where cancer sufferers can drop in, between 13.30 and 15.00, to chat, share experiences or ask questions.
