We have a support network made up of local organisations who are working together to develop the digital inclusion opportunity for the people of Chorley so we can have a digitally inclusive town.
We work with partner organisations and learning providers to provide free digital skills training in a safe and controlled environment. Either a class environment or 1 to 1 support.
We are currently seeking digital champion volunteers to help provide residents of Chorley and the surrounding parishes with the digital skills to benefit from the online world, but also the knowledge of how to stay safe online.
Chorley Hack is a free coding competition for 9 to 13 year olds in Chorley, encouraging young people to develop digital skills for future employment prospects.
We believe it is important for young people to be encouraged and supported to use technology. It is estimated that 90% of jobs in the future with have a digital element, we believe upskilling young people will help with future employment opportunities.
